Chapter 1 - A New Beginning

Dan took in the scorching heat of the water as he stood in under the showerhead, letting the warmth ease his muscles after the intense training session. Others from his gay rugby team stood naked under the other showerheads, chatting animatedly and lathering themselves up with shower gel. The noise of splashing water and cheerful banter echoed off the tile walls.

'Pints, tonight?' Martin asked the room, expectantly looking around at the showering men.

'Nah, man, got a date,' Pete said, strolling out from the stream of water he had been using.

'You're passing up an evening of drinks for a guy?' Martin did a pseudo-shocked face. 'You ho.'

'Of course, I need something to fill my hole, seeing as you weren't doing a good enough job,' he stuck out his tongue.

'Bitch,' Martin ran after Pete and smacked him on the butt with a beefy hand. The two guys had been dating, but had split amicably. Luckily for them and the team, they had stayed good friends, never one to pass up the opportunity for some catty banter.

'I don't know why you two don't just get back together,' Felix, finished with the shower, followed them out to the changing areas, along with a few others.

Dan closed his eyes and exhaled, allowing himself to enjoy the relaxing powers of the hot water as he drowned out the noise of the chit-chatter going on as his teammates dried off and dressed.

His mind went blank as he let his head go at ease and follow the swirling colours against his eyelids. He didn't know how long he had been standing there when Eric popped his head around the corner and yelled, 'Alright ladies, think of the polar bears in the Antarctic. Don't waste all the hot water.'

'That's the Arctic you idiot,' Tyler replied. He was the only other person besides Dan showering. He was one of the last as he had been talking to the coach about something.

'It's the same thing,' Eric went red.

'No, it isn't,' Dan laughed.

'Why won't anyone think of the poor polar bears,' Eric yelled hysterically as he ran out of the changing rooms.

'How can someone be so thick,' Dan pondered, finally getting out of the shower, dripping water across the tiled floor, his dick flopping side to side.

'No idea, man,' Tyler laughed as he lathered his hair up with shampoo.

Dan grabbed a towel from his gym bag and started drying himself off. He was the only one left in the changing rooms, aside from Tyler who was still showering. Steam clung in the air; the atmosphere hot and close.

He pulled on his underwear, tracksuit bottoms and socks, glad of their dry, warm embrace. Just as he was pulling on a t-shirt, he glanced over at Tyler's bag and the clothes strewn on top. A sly grin came to his face as some mischievous thoughts crossed his mind.

He strolled over to Tyler's bag, peering down at the clothes with one eye and keeping a watch of the shower area with his other.

Spotting Tyler's used and sweaty underwear, his heart skipped a beat. It looked so enticing. Daringly, he wondered how long Tyler would be. He had been held behind a bit due to his long discussion with the coach. But then again, was Tyler a long shower person or short? He flip-flopped between points of view and variables, but it was getting him nowhere. All he knew was that Tyler was a hot as fuck muscular beast and he wanted a sniff of the man's underwear.

Just make a decision and do it, he told himself. He pounced and grabbed Tyler's jockstrap and pressed it against his nose and took in a deep whiff.

Dan's eyes rolled back into his head as he took in the powerful aromas of his teammate's musk. The sweat, the odour, the man scent; it was all so strong and overpowering. Dan had a sweet spot for smells and the jockstrap that nestled against his nostrils were every bit as tantalising as a bouquet of roses or a scented candle. He could practically feel his dick growing harder and harder in his tracksuit bottoms.

He took in long breaths, inhaling deeply and exhaling as he closed his eyes and threw his head back, making sure he could get every scent profile from the used underwear. The aromas bounced off various parts of his brain, connecting and activating endorphins.

The man was so engrossed in his escapade that he failed to hear the shower switching off.

'Dude, what the fuck?' Tyler said, staring at Dan and dropping water all over the floor.

Dan's eyes shot open and jumped in fright, looking like a deer in headlights caught red handed with Tyler's jockstrap in a tight grip.

'I-I-I can explain,' Dan stammered, placing the underwear back where he had taken it and retreating backwards.

'It's pretty clear from where I'm looking,' Tyler strolled over to his bag and snatched up his underwear. 'In the old days, we'd call you a panty-sniffer,' Tyler swung his jockstrap around in the air. He didn't care that he was presenting himself fully naked to Dan. Sure, the rugby team were all used to their naked bodies, but Dan felt weird about Tyler giving him a talking-to with his muscular form all available for him to see.

'I'm sorry, I shouldn't have,' Dan blushed.

'No, you shouldn't. I know we're all gay, but there's boundaries and we need to respect each other, right?' It sounded like Tyler was giving out to him, but he had a calm composure and a grin on his face.

'Of course, Tyler. I'm sorry, again.'

'It's ok,' Tyler began drying himself off.'

'You're not going to tell anyone, are you?' Dan was worried.

'Of course not, man. What do you take me for? We all have our private kinks. No kink-shaming here. You like what you like. So tell me,' Tyler leaned his muscular arm against the wall. 'What else do you like?' he smiled, wickedly tempting.
