That first few minutes when you arrive home from work is a time full of contrast. One the one hand you are relieved to reach the end of your day, on the other, you are pent up with stress and often on tenterhooks. It is when good news is celebrated and unwelcome news is broken, and it is also when the spark of many an adventure is born.

For Thea Butler, the arrival home of her husband Lucas brings bad news.

Thea is a 47-year-old mother of two. She is a former gymnast who takes great care of her appearance. Thea looks at him plainly. "Lucas Butler, you knew that I was really looking forward to that break. And that I have already paid half of the cost on deposit. We work hard for that money, we deserve to enjoy it."

"I know I know," pleads Lucas. "Look, why don't you still go. Maybe Emma will go with you."

"Maybe," replies Thea in a slightly more hopeful tone. "A girls trip sounds better than listening to you drone on about the McAndrew Account while I'm trying to sunbathe!" she adds with a very deliberate barb for her husband.

"Aw Mom I'd love to go but I have to study for the summer if I'm ever going to finish this Master's Degree," Emma sounds utterly gutted to miss out on the holiday that she only heard about 10 seconds previous. "You know I have been dying to have a holiday away, I wish you never asked me!" The pretty 22-year-old blonde sounds unduly upset.

Emma is a beautiful young woman with mid length wavy blonde hair and sparkling eyes. She is petite and slender, with a warm smile that lights up her face.

"I'm sorry I asked," replies Thea mockingly.

"Why don't you ask Jacob I'm sure he'd love the break," suggests Emma.

Thea hadn't considered her hardworking 25-year-old son. She supposes that she better offer it to him now given that he had mentioned it to Emma.

"That's perfect, I will be in between jobs at that stage. Thanks Mum, I'd love to go," Jacob replies enthusiastically.

Thea is slightly taken aback by his enthusiasm. She never thought her son would be interested in going on holidays with his mother, but then she realises he probably hadn't been on a proper holiday since he was a kid.

Jacob Butler is a 25-year-old man. He is ambitious, though sometimes lacking confidence. He plays football and enjoys exploring the great outdoors. Jacob has an athletic build, standing at 5 feet 10. He has short, neatly styled fair hair and piercing green eyes. He has a chiselled jawline and a confident smile that lights up a room.

And like that the plan is set, Thea is going o the luxurious sunshine resort, with her son.

The brochures brag that it is designed to offer guests the ultimate in relaxation and comfort, with comfortable furnishings, soft lighting, and a soothing colour palette throughout. The rooms are large and airy with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breath-taking views of the sea and the surrounding landscape.

On the day they arrive at The Palms, Thea is dressed in a stylish and comfortable outfit that is perfect for a tropical getaway. She wears a lightweight, flowy sundress in a bright, sunny yellow colour that complements her sun-kissed skin. The dress has thin straps and a flattering empire waistline, and it flows freely down to her ankles.

The fact that there is only one bed in the spacious room catches Thea and Jacob by surprise. They look at each other, a little confused, and then look around the room to see if there are any other sleeping arrangements.

"Mom, I thought there were supposed to be two beds in this room," Jacob says, sounding a little puzzled.

"Me too," Thea replies, "I specifically asked for two beds when I booked the room. I wonder what happened."

"Let me call the front desk and see if they can fix this," Jacob says, grabbing the phone from the bedside table.

"No, no, I don't want you to be uncomfortable," Thea replies, "We'll just make do with the one bed."

"Definitely," Jacob says, raising his glass in a toast. "To a wonderful evening and a fantastic holiday."

They look at each other in the candlelight and cannot help but study the other's appearance.

Thea looks at Jacob and says, "Sounds like fun, wouldn't you say?"

Jacob smiles and replies, "Definitely. I think it would be a great opportunity to get dressed up and have a good time."

The waiter adds, "We'll have a special menu prepared for the occasion and the ballroom will be beautifully decorated. It's going to be an unforgettable evening."

Thea beams with excitement, "That sounds amazing. We'll definitely be there."

Jacob nods in agreement, "Count us in. We wouldn't miss it for the world."

As Thea and Jacob made their way back to the room, they both feel the weariness of their busy day of travel. They enter the room and Thea makes her way to the bed, sitting down on the edge with a sigh.

They settle into the bed, each feeling grateful for the comfort of the other's presence, and drift off to sleep, ready for another day of adventure and relaxation.

Jacob wakes up in the middle of the night feeling warm. He opens his eyes and sees that he is spooning his mother. Thea rubs her eyes and sits up, "Jacob, it's okay. You're my son. We can share a bed if we need to. Don't worry about it."

Jacob shakes his head, "No, I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I'll be fine on the sofa."

With that, he gets up and makes his way to the sofa, settling in for the rest of the night.

As Jacob lay on the sofa, he couldn't help but remember the feeling of being wrapped around Thea. It had felt comforting and safe, a feeling that he could only get from lying with his mom. Before long, Jacob hears a noise and opens his eyes to see Thea approaching. It takes him a moment to recognise her such is the beauty of the vision. Using the shade of his sunglasses for disguise, Jacob examines her appearance.

Thea has just come from the pool, and her hair is wet and slicked back from her face. Her body glistens with water droplets that runs down her skin, highlighting her curves.
